I ordered the fried shrimp- delicious and some of the best I've had. The portion was generous and the were quite large and cooked perfectly. The side of coleslaw was also generous and absolutely perfect. I can't wait to order again and will be frequently.
Great crab and fish sandwiches. The staff isn't the best at serving but the food more than makes up for it. Love the new location too! Best crab without all the fancy stuff.
Had no idea how good this food was going to be. Something for everyone- warning this place gets packed! Great service - and fresh fish! Yum crab cakes, crab dip, bisque, grilled mahi, fried fish fingers, calamari- need I say more?
Crab. They got it. Friendly and helpful staff.
My friend needed a tutorial on how to get the meat out with the cracker, they gladly showed her how it was done.
Since 1989. Nuff said, really.
They sell A LOT of crabs, so they are so friggen fresh, no sticking to the shell... You crabbies know what I mean.
The quality of the crabs, the produce in the salad, everything was so fresh. Snow crab, king crab so succulent.
The couple running the place (I don't really knows if they are a "couple" or if they are really"running" the place) were constantly cleaning, wiping down stuff, broom and dustpan all over, really taking care.
They've been doing it right for over 30 years mis amigo, no dumping crab on my table from a plastic bag here. This is not the new fad crab boil places you see popping up.
30 years, nuff said.
I'm so surprised that this place is not busier. The food was fresh and delicious and the service excellent
Great food! Excellent food rather! Portions are huge. Appetizers are very good. Customer service is exceptional!!
This place is outstanding. Amazing seafood, salad, and soup! I was very impressed, and the customer service was great.
Great Food, Nothing Fancy We were quite surprise when we walked into the restaurant. It had a total of approximately six tables - nothing fancy. They had one server, Luis, who was excellent. The food was really good. So if you want good crabs and seafood, this is where the locals go. Recommend that you get there early as the line gets long very quickly.
We ate here for my birthday dinner, having never been, but chose it based on reviews. We walked in and expected a totally different atmosphere. It's a dive, but I knew the reviews couldn't be wrong. We ate clam chowder, lobster bisque, Cajun shrimp and the dungeoness crab boil. Everything was amazing!! The lobster bisque was by far the best we've ever had. Service was also very attentive. We'll be back for sure!!
Amazing dinner. Came on 2/7 and will definitely return, especially since it is fairly close to my new condo. The waitress was super nice and the food was both delicious and relatively cheap. Recommend! Didn't have much seating but on a Sunday evening had zero wait and it was not busy at all. Additionally they had plexiglas partitions between tables to keep diners more separated.
The best lobster bisque my husband every had. Crab legs were meaty and plenty. To top it off their homemade key lime pie is soooo good!
Being from southeastern PA, when you get a craving for crabs, it's gotta be Old Bay Maryland crabs. As much seafood as we have in Miami, Maryland crabs can be hard to find here. After scoping out Yelp, I found The Original Crab House. As many have already said, it's a very small restaurant (4 tables socially distanced with Plexiglass). Parking is a little wonky but you can hopefully find a spot in the tight strip mall spaces. The New England clam chowder was delicious. It was buttery, creamy, and seasoned with herbs that complimented the soup ingredients. The Old Bay fries were hot and crispy. We split the crab sampler, which was the perfect amount of crab for 2. Everything was very tasty, but seemed a bit underseasoned for my tastes. I tend to prefer more aggressive seasoning when it comes to seafood, especially when Old Bay is involved. Our server was very attentive, bringing us fresh butter without us having to ask. It seemed like it was only our server and the chef. They managed the dining room and takeout orders well.Overall, I'll save my big crab binges for my visits to MD, but I will be returning to The Original Crab House for their affordably priced, yummy seafood.
Excellent excellent - well established and family oriented- safe seating for our new normal where we can still enjoy their amazing menu.
Great little seafood spot, but we have to say, the CAJUN CHICKEN PASTA was DELICIOUS. Oh my! So creamy and al dente! Huge portion! The seafood boil was $49 came with a good amount of seafood fit for ONE person. Would definitely eat here again.
Great place for Crab legs and seafood. The Clam Chowder is awesome. Seafood is fresh. This place is a definitely a go to place.
Best crabs in miami!! We love this hole in the wall! Great variety of food and the best crabs! Gustavo is the best always have a great time coming here!
TripAdvisor reviewers were right on - this place was awesome!! We followed fellow reviewers’ recommendations and found this gem of a restaurant. Best clam chowder we ever had! Crab dip was great, coleslaw was fantastic (homemade) and the shrimp po’boy perfectly done. There is a reason this restaurant has been here 37 years!! I wish I could remember the name of our server, but he provided awesome service. My only regret is that I live too far away (a few thousand miles) to make it back any time soon!
